This Cookie Policy is an integral part of the Macadam Platform Privacy Policy and terminology will be used in accordance with the definitions used therein.

Access to the Macadam Platform, browsing the Macadam Website, or the use of its services, implies the acceptance by the Users of the terms and conditions set out in the rest of the legal texts.

In order to facilitate the use of the Macadam Platform, you are hereby informed that both the Macadam Website and the Macadam Application use Cookies and/or similar technologies such as the so-called Software Development Kits that collect and store information while you browse the Macadam Website or use the Macadam Application (hereinafter, the "Cookies").

What is a Cookie?

Cookies are files containing small amounts of information that are downloaded to the User's device when visiting a website.

Cookies in their broadest sense are essential for the functioning of the Internet and mobile applications; they cannot damage the User's equipment/device and, if they are activated in the configuration of your browser, they help to identify and resolve possible errors in the functioning of the Macadam Platform.

In general, these technologies can be used for many different purposes, such as, for example, to recognise you as a User, to obtain information about your browsing habits or to personalise the way in which content is displayed. The specific uses we make of these technologies are described below.

What types of Cookies does the Macadam Platform use?

Several types of Cookies are used on the Macadam Platform:

FIRST-PARTY COOKIES

First-party Cookies are Cookies that are sent to the User's device from a device or domain managed by us and from which the Service requested by the User is provided. We use the following own Cookies:

The Macadam Platform may use Cookies and third-party tracking technologies. These third-party Cookies and technology are sent to the User's terminal equipment from a device or domain not managed by Macadam, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the Cookies. Please note that by clicking on the "Accept all" button on the Cookies banner either the one that will be displayed on the Macadam Website or on the Macadam Application, you consent to the use of the aforementioned Cookies on your device.

Revocation of consent

For each of the Cookies listed above, as well as for each Partner, the User can allow, block or delete the Cookies installed on their equipment by configuring the cookies through the consent management tool on the Macadam Website and in the Application.

Notwithstanding the above, the revocation of consent to certain Cookies, although not essential for the operation of the Macadam Platform, may result in not being able to enjoy all the functionalities of the platform, Macadam not being responsible for this when the User has decided to reject or delete the Cookie that allows such functionality.

Likewise, by clicking on the "Allow selected" button in the Cookies Banner, you can directly reject the use of the Cookies you wish and have not selected, which are not strictly necessary.

User settings to prevent Cookies on the Macadam Website

Users can access their browser settings at any time and enable or disable the use of Cookies. They can also delete stored Cookies after each session.

You can also activate "private browsing", whereby the browser stops saving browsing history, website passwords, Cookies and other information on the websites visited by the Web User. The User can consult this in the "Help" section of his or her browser.

The following information is provided in compliance with the current regulatory framework, so that you can configure the privacy and security settings of your Internet browser(s) with respect to Cookies. User settings to prevent Cookies from the Macadam Application

In relation to Cookie-like technology most mobile devices and applications allow the User to manage how similar technologies, such as unique identifiers used to identify an application or device, are set and used. For example, Android devices' advertising identifier or Apple's advertising identifier can be managed in the device's settings, while application-specific identifiers are typically managed in the Application's settings.

In the case of the Macadam Application, the Revocation of Consent Section has already explained how you can disable all Cookies and similar technologies.

Transfers of data to third countries

If your personal data is transferred outside the EEA (European Economic Area), to other Macadam group companies or Service providers, we will take steps to ensure that your personal data receives the same level of protection as if it had remained within the EEA, by entering into the confidentiality and data processing contracts required by the regulations for providers located in Third Countries, applying the necessary safeguards and guarantees to preserve your privacy.

Macadam will base international transfers on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the EU Commission which may be updated or revised, and may also base them on other transfer mechanisms such as adequacy decisions, where applicable, Binding Corporate Rules or Agreements approved by the European Data Protection Authorities. For transfers to other Macadam group entities located outside the EEA, we have established an Intra-Group Data Transfer Agreement based on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses that may be updated or revised, which protects personal data transferred between Macadam entities.

You may be informed of such transfers to third parties, if any, by the third parties identified herein in their respective Cookie policies (see the links provided in the "Third Party Cookies" section of their Cookie Policy).

Profiling involving automated decision-making with legal implications for the User or which significantly affects the User

The aforementioned Cookies are not used to create profiles that imply the adoption of automated decisions with legal implications or that significantly affect Users.

Conservation period

Personal Data obtained through the use of Cookies will be stored for the period indicated in the Cookie tables and, after this period has elapsed, for the applicable legal limitation period depending on the purpose.

Confidentiality and security in the processing of User data and electronic communications

Macadam undertakes to treat the User's personal data confidentially, adopting the necessary technical and organisational security measures to guarantee the security of personal data and prevent its alteration, loss, unauthorised processing and/or access, taking into account the state of technology, the nature of the data stored and the risks to which they are exposed, in accordance with the provisions of data protection regulations. Macadam ensures, as far as possible and in accordance with the current state of technology, the confidentiality and integrity of the data and information provided by users in order to fulfil the aforementioned purposes.
